Random #1: Happy New year to my New Zealand friends. It is 15 hours away here in Texas, USA but they are already into 2015. My Philippine friends are almost to midnight celebrations. I bet I will still be the first to write the wrong year on a check. Random #2:I just sorted through the dried black eyed peas. It is bad luck to bite into a small rock on New Years Day while eating black eyed peas. I guess it is bad luck any day. We are having a few friends in to celebrate tonight. Will be interesting to see if we make Midnight. Random #3: I give things strange names sometimes. We once had a dog that we named Misty. A heavy mist is a fog so when she grew up I fondly called her Fog Dog. Having cited that example, you will understand my delight when Jean got a new plecostomus fish for her tank. This Fish eats the scum off of the tank and we dont have great luck with them. Pet Smart sold us a hardier variety Called a Rubber Lips plecostomus. Old Rubber Lips floundered from day one. I told him to keep a stiff upper lip but less than halfway through the 15 day warranty period, he turned all the way stiff. RIP R.L. plecostomus. Happy New Year to all.
