Random call this morning: Caller: Can you make us very durable and reusable chimpanzee gloves that go all the way up the arm? Its for a national commercial campaign. Me: Absolutely I can. Whats your budget? Caller: Well, we were thinking $2500, but they need to last a long time and endure many uses. Me: I must have misheard you. I thought you said it was for a national ad campaign, but you only have $2500. Caller: why, is that low? Me: Extraordinarily so. Its gonna cost a few bucks more.... Caller: Wow, this call has really opened my eyes and I genuinely appreciate all your info and time today. Let me see if the producers will authorize more money, and Ill call you back. Can you give me some info to help persuade them? Me: If I had a diamond the size of a golf ball, how much would you pay for that? Caller: Several million dollars. Me: Why would you pay millions of dollars for something the size of a golf ball? Caller: Because its worth it. Me: Exactly....
