Random thoughts... Prejudice is something we all carry in us. However enlightened you think you are, there are some prejudiced influences in your heart/mind. Prejudice in a sense is an animalistic survival tool. Animals make associations through instinct and experience that guide their actions with other animals. Examples would be fear of certain other animals based on their type, color, behavior etc.... Listing is not really necessary here..... Mankind is animal by nature and its no surprise that we form certain prejudices as we go through the world. BUT, unlike animals, we have the potential to look beyond our prejudices and make decisions and choices that are based on compassion and understanding . This is what makes people special amongst all the other creatures on this planet- our potential to move deliberately towards higher states of being. To move beyond our animal instincts and make the world around us better. Animals do not have this capacity. They act purely on instinct and self preservation. There is little to no altruism in the animal kingdom. So... Are you an animal, or are you a human, there is a huge difference.
