Random thoughts on THE QUEST: * Bonnie Gordon is (as I thought would happen) the most animated of the bunch. AND she was the first to win an honor. You go girl! *Nice sets and props. *If you are going to go for fantasy, than really do something different. This is too much like other things I despise like Hells Kitchen and Survivor and about a dozen others. I would have liked to see a show where being banished was not part of the story line. *Most of the interviews take you out of the action, are redundant and tell you stuff you already know. They also take you out of the action. Oops, I wrote that twice. *The trainer is so stereotyped gruff. A little more subtle shading might have defeated comparisons with the vile Chef Ramsey or Simon Cowel. *It would have been more effective if it was shot like a movie, not on video. * The King (Duke? Proctor? whatever that British fey guy!) had some really banal dialogue to spout, but he was so good he actually made it interesting. The best actor so far on the show. * I like fantasy, but I dont think I could do this. It does not seem there were showers available... *Lucky Patrick. He got the coolest roommate. * Some are comparing this to Lord Of The Rings by way of Survivor. It is more like Westworld by way of Survivor, albeit, without a Yul Brenner robot. *All in all, an interesting concept that could have been more unique if the producers didnt shoehorn in the reality contest rules model. I will keep watching while Bonnie is on it, but after that, I doubt Ill have much interest keeping up. But I could be wrong and hope I am...
