Randy has finally gotten his heart rate under control along with the help of some meds to slow it down. They said his cray still looks the same but are positive its just excess fluids so they are pushing him full of lasic to get this off of him and breathing treatments every 4 hrs to break up the congestion to prevent pneumonia. His oxygen is a little better but is still requiring a large amt of help to keep it a safe limit. His incisions look good hes in a lot of pain still but hopefully in the next few days we can have the drains removed that are causing the most pain. It was nice to have a night last night without a alarm going off every 5 minutes! The nurse actually told me while ago he was one of his more stable patients today which makes me feel a little more encouraged. Hes been sitting up for a little while in the chair its very painful but beneficial for him to keep from becoming overloaded in fluids. Wanda came up and sat with him yesterday evening and I was able to sleep in the hotel for a few hrs and didnt know I was so exhausted so Im feeling better as well. Hopefully we get moved out of icu soon so I can get rid of the hotel room and bill but right now its been a lifesaver. They have finally started Randy on some tpn feeds to hopefully wake up his stomach and intestines they had to re arrange as of today we have not had any luck yet but they are hoping he will develop some bowl sounds soon as this could cause a new set of problems his potassium is too low as well but the tpn has added potassium in it that will hopefully level it out because of the low potassium his mouth stays sore and dried out to the point of busting open on the inside of his cheeks and with the tube down his throat he only gets 1/2 cup of ice chips every 3 hrs this is making him a very grumpy man! I had to sneak in a cup of ice last night so that he could rest but they never knew and it didnt hurt anything! So please keep the prayers coming hopefully all this heart oxygen and stomach problems will level out and we can move to step down icu and we will both feel a little better then. Our hardest part is missing our precious babies and belle is missing her mom this is nice to have my baby missing me and wanting me to come home and spend a night or 2 with her so she can rest. Idk how long its been that she has really truly missed me! So as soon as I get randy leveled out Im gonna go spend a night or 2 with all my babies. Please say a prayer for her too she is a little overwhelmed with 2 babies but shes doing great she text me to ask lots of questions I wish I were there to help but she can do this I know she hasnt had a shortage of people volunteering to help thanks everyone for that its one less worry for me as a mom and know a grandma I worry constantly about them and want to be there so thank yall for helping take care of my babies. Now if we can get Randy well he says hes going to move in and be the full time nanny for them and I dont doubt this one bit lol. We truly appreciate everything yall do for us and the text etc but most of all the prayers they work best! Hopefully were on the right road now. As for the lymph node that was positive we will likely start back down the chemo road in a month or so the dr wants his body to begin to heal before adding any more stress to it and his immune system is so suppressed the chemo would be more harmful than good. But his oncologist feels good about everything praise God for the clean margins around his liver etc this was there biggest worry. As of now until the big report comes back its the one lymph node only that is involved and they got it all now Im nervously waiting the pet scan to be certain but the last one only showed the area they removed so we feel hopeful about this. We have to build up his immune system so that maybe next weekend he could have a few visitors we have to gown and glove up to be in here sleeping in this stuff is like sleeping in trash bags but whatever keeps him safe and the drs dont want anyone really visiting that might get him excited and his heart rate accelerated again. So for now its just me and Wanda she doesnt get to stay long but long enough for me to shower eat and nap but Randy dont want me gone long and his vitals go to getting up. The dr thinks it may be stress and he might get scared while Im gone and he has a little anxiety so I try only to leave when hes sleeping or I have to just rest for a few minutes. We still have a big hill to climb and there will be bumps along the way but with God anything is possible. The surgeon told me after the surgery he really didnt expect him to survive the surgery but we did and are beating the odds everyday and I know just how we are doing it. Always count your blessings and always spend time with the ones you love with some of the things Ive saw the last few days life can just be taken from you and you never expected it. So pray for all these people that are Randys neighbors that are fighting hard for their life as well. Please pray for everyone on this cancer roller coaster its a ride you dont want on and cant get off. If you think you have it bad in life walk thru a oncology floor or ach and see how good your life really is its not about material things its about your loved ones fighting for life or little children fighting for theirs its a sad thing so it could always be worse. Always try to take the time to reach out to someone in need Ive found people in true need will never ask but its the right thing to do and what God would want us all to do what a better world it would be if we could all take a little time to just help someone out it doesnt even have to cost a thing just be kind and help someone out today. When you stay in these places you see true need people doing without eating so they can stay with their loved ones people who dont have a place to sleep but in the floor of a waiting room among strangers just to be close to their loved ones. Thanks to special people I dont have to do that or this could easily be me this stuff puts life in perspective for you. Be thankful for all the organizations out there that devote so much time and money to help others out maybe make a donation to them every little bit helps. Thank yall so much!!
