Rangers Ladies Narrowly Miss Cup Final Spot Angie Hinds’ Rangers Ladies sadly missed out on booking a place in the Scottish Cup Final. The game on Sunday saw the Rangers Ladies work hard to try and win the game but saw it go into extra time and then penalties. Sadly it was not to be, and they were beaten by Hibs ladies 5-4. It must have been heartbreaking for all Gers girls as they had fought back from being a goal down to get to play for extra time but were unable to put the ball in the net during extra time. Hibernian were first to score through Rachel Walkingshaw on the 54 minutes mark, after having numerous chances in the first half, which had been a scrappy affair. It was only the skill of Rangers keeper Khym Ramsay that kept the scores even until then. Rangers fought back hard and got their just rewards when they equalised through Amy Harrison on 72 minutes. The extra time produced more chances and Hibs had a penalty shout denied when the Rangers keeper was accused of pushing over Kathryn Hill in the box but the referee waved for play on and it fell to the teams to have to take part in a penalty shoot out. Sadly Sophie Riley missed the 10th penalty of the shoot-out putting the Hibs Ladies through to the final. //Stevie
