Rant Alert: I have sat aside day by day listening to stories from friends and family and reading the judgmental statuses made about people like me on endless social media sites. Comments about how we dont have any self respect. How all we do is party and smoke. How the choices we make are causing us to go no where with our lives. Just a bunch of partiers, right? Well, this is the day for me to talk. I am a born and raised LDS Mormon. I grew up in a family of the most unjudgemental people I know. They taught me that no one is perfect and that NO ONE has that right to judge you and tell you you are less. They taught me to love and respect everyone no matter their race, religious standing or financial situations. But growing up in the church, a church that supposedly is suppose to teach all those same lessons, I have come to find it contains some of the most ruthless, judge mental people I know. And no, I am not saying they are all this way. I have met some of the most amazing people in the world with the biggest hearts that are LDS also. I have countless family and friends who follow the teachings of the church and would NEVER look down on me for the life I choose to live. But it is because of the others in the church that I choose to no longer be active. They have shown no mercy. Making absolute ludicrous comments. And for what? To make them selves feel better by trying to put others beneath them?? I couldnt honestly tell you why, but what I can tell you is this. To those of you who harshly judge the way me and my loved ones live our lives, you are no better than the scum you are so desperately trying to make us out to be. Its absolutely pathetic. So I leave you all with this. I am Natalee Noelle Jensen. I love to drink. Some of the best times of my life have been spent having a beer with the people I love. Yes, I make mistakes but so do you. You do not have the right to tell me that my choices make me less than you! I love the life I live and I have a successful job and am doing the things you say people like me cant. I adore the people who stand by me and I do not judge you for the life you all live so stay out of mine. I am proud of who I am and will forever be. Now if youll excuse me, Im going to toast to that!
