Rapp Sheet - Friday, January 24, 2014 This weekend is a pivotal time in the history of our church. At the church conference on Sunday morning we will be seeking to discern God’s direction for us as a church. The plan that is being proposed has been formulated through many months of prayer, study, hard work, feedback, and discussion. I hope that everyone has taken the time to carefully study the plan and prayerfully considered it. I want to thank our Visioning Committee, Building Committee, Capital Campaign Committee, and our consultant Scott Schoaf from Walsh and Associates for all they have done to bring us to this point. Thank you to all who attended our five Town Hall Meetings and for your questions and comments. Let me remind you that we will have two morning worship services on Sunday, January 26 at 8:15 AM and 9:30 AM. The Church Conference will be convened at 10:45 AM in the sanctuary. As Sunday and the Church Conference approaches I want to remind everyone that the Renovation and Expansion Proposal packet can be found on our church website (sterlingumc.org). You will also find there several other helpful documents. The Feasibility Study Report by Walsh and Associates is also located there. The website also has a document which contains a compilation of all of the questions and comments from our recent Town Hall Meetings. We hope this information will further help you further clarify your understanding of the proposal plan so that you can think and pray clearly about this decision. Finally and most importantly I want to encourage you to pray for our church may we be open to the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit and that we would follow His path and not our own.
