Rastafari is a Livity. Rastafari in this part of South Afrika articulate Rastafari in Afrikaans.Afrikaans is an Afrikaans word for Afrikan or Afrikan language spoken mainly in South Afrika by the Afrikans commonly referred to here as Coloureds and the Boers although its origin is with the Khoi-San People. Afrikans who are racially mixed are called Coloureds in South Afrika and in America any one who is non White is called Coloureds. The Rastafari here speak Afrikaans because is their mother tongue and unlike the Black Afrikan Rastafari of South Afrika who love speaking a jargon and a gibberish called patwa and reject their Afrikan Mother Tongue as Tribalism,this Rastafari here they say Afrikans is their Patwa and have no time to imitate the Jamaican speech which is not even a Rastafari language but a language commonly used by all Jamaican,Rastafari or Not. What I continue learning is that this Rastafari communities they dont suffer from a psychology of self hate like the Black Afrikan Rastafari who attempt to reject everything about themselves. I also learned most words commonly thought to be of Dutch origin like Dagga,that they are of Khoi-San origin. Afrikaans is a mixture of Khoi-San,Dutch and English,is our South Afrikan Swahili which the Rastafari this side say is their own patwa.
