Rational Exuberance (Rex) is a full-bodied 15.3h Irish Sporthorse,12, who has competed up to 3’ at rated shows, most recently showing lightly over 2’6” to 2’9” hunter and equitation courses, which is his perfect competition height. Couldn’t be cuter or sweeter, with three compact and comfortable gaits – easy-to-sit canter and sitting trot (with or without stirrups!), responsive transitions, accurate flying changes on course, equitation skills (counter canter, leg yield, turns on the forehand/haunches/halt). Will take a rider from their first ground pole and crossrail up to 2’9” courses: point and shoot, honest to fences, doesn’t look at or over-jump a new fence in a lesson or away from home. A push ride, Rex’s consistent pace, rhythmic gaits and ease to steer, gives riders the confidence to concentrate on their equitation and improve their riding skills, while relaxing and enjoying their riding time, whether seeking a partner to ride primarily on the flat, or also over fences, at home or at area competitions and clinics. Great for farrier, vet, dentist, worming/shots/wrapping. Quiet to load and hack around the property. Loves grooming, baths, ear rubbing, hand grazing and hangout time with his person – an affectionate boy grateful for – and gentle with! - treats earned after a work session (baby carrots, peppermints, granola bars and chewy candy – jellybeans, Sour Patch Kids and licorice! – top his list). Comes out quiet every day with good turnout (goes out alone or with friends) and a quality routine program. Sadly offered for sale by owner he brought along - from winning Champion of Schooling Hunter at their first away show together, to fulfilling her dream of competing at her first A-circuit show at HITS. Loving home mandatory. Located in New Jersey. $25,000. bigeq/p-Rational_Exuberance-Irish_Sport_Horse-Hunter-17203.php
