Ravens rookie tight end Crockett Gillmore saw his most extensive action of the season Sunday against the Buccaneers. Gillmore played 41 snaps and graded out positively as both a run blocker and pass blocker, according to russellstreetreport. Meanwhile, Gillmore also caught his first two passes of the season, picking up 16 yards. Pass receiving is not Gillmore’s forte yet. But if he plays well enough to stay on the field, offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak can use Gillmore in tandem with Owen Daniels and run the two-tight end sets that Kubiak favors. “He gets better every day as a receiver,” said coach John Harbaugh. “He’s not the fastest guy in the world – not to be confused with a speed merchant – but he has good hands. He has very good body control. (Tight end coach) Brian Pariani is doing a good job of teaching him how to run routes and how to get open, body up on linebackers and safeties. The big tight ends are really valuable in this league because they have catch radius and they can get away from a defender. It’s hard to cover them one-on-one. That’d be a big asset for us if he could keep growing that way.” -The Raven Chronicles
