An early riser, Ray, is switching on to Facebook account and wishing special messages to his friends, followers and colleagues. Take an example, today Ray begins day with “Everyone can read the expression of your face; but only your friends can read the depression of your heart. Good Morning Friends Enjoy the Day !” And followers are swelling up on day to day basis, that because of Ray’s inspiring messages and touch to the ground. For that matter now the political scenario is changing fast in Rourkela, where after a long spell, Ray has been emerging as a formidable force to reckon with. Longtime protégé of the legendary Biju Patnaik, the former Union Minister is attracting the youth in a big way, said a senior scribe keeping an eye on political developments in this Western Zone. Though in BJP, Ray seems to be more of a One Man Army with ever growing support from the youth masses from the Steel City, making Sarada Prasad Nayak, Lawmaker from Rourkela unnerved. Nayak, who is lacking charisma turn out to be a powerful force with the blessings of BJD Supremo’s erstwhile Principal Advisor, Pyari Mohan Mohapatra. And with 29 May 2012 episode, Nayak slowly and steadily losing confidence of Naveen Niwas, though he has managed to save his face to some extent by cultivating Kalpatatru Das, Minister Panchayati Raj and Parliamentary Affairs and an emerging powerful force in Governing BJD. Das is given charge of Sundargarh and Jharsuguda districts, where BJD is losing grounds. Tough Das was humiliated by Pyari Mohan for years together, interestingly the powerful Minister of Naveen Patnaik Cabinet is favoring his worst enemy’s protégé, pointed out the scribe covering BJD beat. But the down to earth Minister, who has been continuously winning from the Coastal Zones of the state has failed to gauge the mood of the youth of Steel City, said a political observer. Ray is gaining ground because of the leadership vacuum and disenchantment of the youth for Nayak, said he. And above all Ray as a positive and development minded political entity, trying to entice the youth, who is crying for much needed support to full fill their ambition and aspirations, which Nayak has failed to provide. In fact Nayak is no match to the towering personality of the ever growing Mayfair Group Chairman, who during these years made positive impact on Hospitality Industry and has made value addition to the Odisha’s Tourism Sector, said a leading Travel Industry Captain.
