Re: NSW Fires .. This is an annual problem .. thats been happening for the past decade and going back further .. Why is this problem not being tackled before the warmer months approach .. locals councils should be preparing communities .. by engaging in clearing surrounding areas where leaf and vegetation litter is high .. with burning off or back burning procedures put in place in the cooler climates .. and if the fires are found to be lit deliberately .. enforce penalties that make an impact .. letting them off lightly is like giving them a lighter or a box of matches and say go for it .. Its just heart breaking and annoying to see people lives and livelihoods being destroyed by out of control fires .. OK thats my little groan for the day .. !!!
