Re: The Kang Kung Saga so far @ 21/1/14: - My Press Statement & my position is clear on this one: 1. Malaysia in 2014 is supposedly a democracy, where we show each other due respect and defending each others equal rights in society (so the truthful as well the hypocritical politicians would tell us). 2. I respect the constitutional rights and freedom of speech and expression (and the rights of check and balance over ones own government) of all Malaysian in voicing their dissatisfaction (or praises) for or against their government, either through direct expressions, or otherwise through more satirical gestures. 3.Younger generations of Malaysians have always been the impetus for change, & have admirably shown courage and leadership in effecting the nations political and social changes; distinctively so and apparently clear over the past 16 years during Reformasi period, and true inroad was achieved in bridging and stopping racial divide through the efforts of a true multi racial Parti Keadilan Rakyat and the component parties of Pakatan Rakyat. 4. YB Lee Khai Loon is one of those intellectual young leaders in Parti Keadialan Rakyat from the day one. I believe, and as always, he was speaking out for the people. 5. When the spiral price hike on food and necessities has severely hit the poor and downtroddened, he and the rest of leadership from Pakatan Rakyat stood up and urged the Prime Ministers office to take heed of the down turn so as to shield the poor from more suffering. 6. I believe the said flash mop protest was fair, with substance and bona fide ( in good faith) in view of the nations reaction on the in coming cabinet imposition of GST and the countrys wobbly economy, increasing cost of living and food price turbulences. 7.The Kang Kung flash mop protest has had nothing to do with any racial issue. In fact it represents the out cries of the evarage earning families and the poorer segments of society where bad economic management and price hike seriously affect and harm these people. 8. On the contrary, the violent maneuvers led by some UMNO youth leaders & certain individuals is clearly an ill thought of plan hatched by racists and executed by intellectually challenged. 9. Clearly and expectedly political racists & propagandists if any, would device for yet another racial violent diversion to make Malaysian forget the issues of economic blunders, political biasness, administrative corruption and unfair taxes & levies. 10. I believe it is old school to use scare tactics against new generations of Malaysians. Only pseudo democrate, facist dictators or slaves believe in yeilding or apologising to oppression. 11. The new generation of Malaysians do not believe in racial politics. The new generation of Malaysians do not believe in keeping silence against oppression. 12. The future is non apologetic to violent oppression. The future is now, the future is bright.
