ReMoved - A Video Youll Never Forget One of the BIGGEST problems we face in Pahrump is the problem with not enough quality Foster Parents for the children in our community, and too many parents out there neglecting and abusing their children causing DSFS to become overworked, and overburdened. And we also dont have a place like a Child Haven to take them to when they first come into Foster Care so they can be seen by a nurse and/or doctor within the first 12-24 hrs. or sooner. And they cant have a bath or shower right away, including clean clothes and safe place to sleep right away where all their siblings are kept together until arrangements can be made to try and place them in the same home. Something they do for them in Las Vegas, but WE have failed to provide this service to our children out here who REALLY need it more than anyone realizes. But we can afford to buy land we dont need, and waste money on studies that tell us that we are idiots to waste money on studies. It tells a story about a young girl and her story in Foster Care, and how we need good quality Foster Parents out here who love and care for OUR kids because we dont have enough in this community. And the goods ones we DO have sometimes get a bad rap from the few bad ones out there. And it keeps people from wanting to become Foster Parents sometimes I think, and its the children who lose out.
