Reactive training is anything that tests your hand eye - TopicsExpress

Reactive training is anything that tests your hand eye coordination & proproceptive awareness, boxing, skipping, throwing & catching, anything thats skill based. In the video I’m using a B.O.S.U “Ballest ball”, this is a 55mm swiss ball with 2.5kg of a sand type substance inside, as you can see from the slow motion when the ball is thrown, the centre of gravity shitfs continually, which means the catcher has to make adjustments with his feet, knees, hips & of course eyesight, added to that the client is balancing on a B.O.S.U “Balance ball” as well, its extra work for the core muscles to stabilise, trust me a three minute round is pretty challenging. The CNS takes up about 5% of your body weight but manages to use up around 20% of the oxygen our body produces! Thats what you call high maintenance, any type of reactive training you do before weights will definitely improve your performance in the gym, & fire up your metabolism & help you burn more fat. Also its a great way of doing cardio intervals & can be challenging & fun. When we talk about the functions of central nervous system, we basically refer to the functions of brain and spinal cord working as a unit to coordinate the activities between different parts of the body so thats various physiological and psychological functions of our body, including movement, sensation, thinking, memory, and speech, so really the CNS is responsible for almost everything we do, right from something as simple as breathing to something complex, like solving a math problem. Activities like the one in the video are great to activate the CNS & by doing so fire up the muscles stimulate the brain getting you ready for a great workout. Get a gym buddy & try this exercise on the B.O.S.U. Ball & keep your hips & knees relaxed when you move, its great fun & also very challenging - let us know how you got on
