Read Rhapsody of Realities TeeVo Monday, July 7th WHAT A BEAUTIFUL LIFE! (Youve Been Called To Live The Glorious Life) TO THE BIBLE 2 Peter 1:3 ...His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue. LETS TALK First, I want you to notice that God isnt trying to give you all things that pertain to life and godliness; Hes already done so! I like the way the Living Bible renders the opening verse; it says youve got ...everything you need for living a truly good life. In other words, God has already given you the glorious life to live; thus, no matter what situation you find yourself in, your life will always be one of honour, beauty, dignity, and excellence. Some people experience the opposite of what the Word of God says, and they wonder why. Its because of their ignorance and the blindness of their hearts. However, the Word of God has the cure they need. The word knowledge in 2 Peter 1:3 is a Greek word epignosis, which means exact or precise knowledge, full knowledge with intimacy. It means full comprehension, recognition, or perception. In Ephesians 1:17, the Apostle Paul also talked about revelation in the knowledge of God: That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. The word revelation is also a Greek word apokalupsis, which means a disclose or unveiling; an insight into reality. Hence, as you study more about God and learn about the things of His Spirit, you get acquainted and relate with Him in such a way that these spiritual realities are unveiled to you. As a result, you have the exact knowledge of His personality and character, which produces for you a glorious life as your present-hour reality. Go Deeper Colossians 1:9-11 Pray Dear Father, I thank you for granting me the spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that I may know you better. Thank you for enlightening the eyes of my heart in order that I may know the hope to which youve called me, and the riches of your glorious inheritance in the saints, in Jesus Name. Amen. Act Let the prayer above become part of your daily confession.
