Read an article in The National today, saying that Divorce Day was yesterday, ive never ever heard of it before, despite knowing that the festive season is well known for high divorce and separation rates. The article states that its mostly due to couples spending more time with each other, in some cases 24/7. Is this a cause? Or, could it be the added stress of having the kids off for 2 weeks from school, moaning daily for more sweeties and staying up late and stating Im Bored!!!, despite the sum of at least a grand having been spent on them on the 25th Of December, the day of greed. This is of course due to peer pressure and also capitalism, lots of folk going into debt to pay off the ridiculous sums of money spent, not the kids fault theyre being spoilt. I blame the parents, as well as the UK media. Thoughts?
