The son of a policeman on duty at the Bukit Kepong Police Station, Muar told the Sessions Court in Butterworth today that he was angry and sad over a ceramah (political talk) given by PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu on the Bukit Kepong communist insurgency incident, on Aug 21, 2011. Nazir Yussoff, 57, the son of Sergeant Yusoff Rono, felt it was an insult to policemen when Mohamad, also known as Mat Sabu, slandered them over communist terrorists attack on the Bukit Kepong Police Station on Feb 23, 1950. “I felt sad when my father was accused of being a terrorist. My father’s struggle and that of the policemen involved were to defend Bukit Kepong. Due to their deeds, we are enjoying peace and prosperity until today.
