Read in the paper today that this is now the most GOP control of government at federal, state and local level since the roaring twenties, a period of low taxation and few regulations. Current GOP leaders say their agenda will be lower taxes and fewer regulations. Wonder how it will work this time. For those Democratic candidate that felt they had to run away from the presidents low ratings, they should have looked at the facts. His lowest rating has hovered around 39 for most of his presidency. In our divided country the best he could really do was 50, so 39 aint bad. The Republican House has hovered around 20-25 percent but succeeded convincing their constituents that the president was the unpopular one. For the record, Obamas high point was on January 22, 2009, inauguration day when he came in at 67. The next day it began dropping. Almost makes you wonder what he did that first day other than be sworn in. Unless...
