Reading about Iran calling hollywood a zionist industry, and got to thinking... We tend to automatically associate the term zionism with rabid anti-semitism, but by the strictest definition of the term, Israel as well as mainstream judaism are zionist. And the United States, through their continued support of Israel, is probably zionist too, if it is possible to be zionist as a predominantly non-jewish entity. So does Iran not have a point? Im not supporting the crazy anti-semitic stuff, but I mean, Zionism is a thing, and its up in the air whether or not its a good thing, cant we talk about it without seeming crazy? No, no we cant. Because we live on the internet, and if we mention it, we just get balled in with the screaming crazies. Incidentally, I apologise if Ive offended any zionists. Im not saying you dont have a right to a cultural homeland of your very own. Im just, you know, also not saying you do.
