Reading in the Psalms this morning. Reading on struggles with the enemies or satan, physical or in the spirit. On the promises of God to protect, to rescue, to uplift the poor, brokenhearted and oppressed. Reminding us how great and powerful our God is and how He is in control. Read some of these awesome words: The Lord is in His holy temple, the Lords throne is in heaven, His eyes behold, His eyelids tests the sons of men. The Lord tests the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates. Upon the wicked He will rain coals; fire and brimstone and a burning wind. Shall be the portion of their cup..........Help Lord for the godly man ceases! Neighbors lie to each other with flattering lips and deceitful hearts....they say our lips are our own; who is lord over us? ....For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise, says the Lord; I will set him in the safety for which he yearns. The words (promises) of the Lord are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times (complete)...You shall preserve them from this generation forever....the wicked prowl on every side, when vileness is exalted among the sons of men (evil is praised throughout the land)........How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul and sorrow in my heart every day?........But I trust iin your unfailing love I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because He is good to me......Only fools say in their hearts there is no God they are corrupt, and their actions are evil....He looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God.......I said to the Lord, You are Master ! Every good thing I have comes from You....Lord You alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. .....You will show me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with You forever.....I have followed your commands, which keep me from following cruel and evil people....I am praying to You because I know You will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray. Show me your unfailing love in wonderful ways........I love You Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. ......The Lord thundered from Heaven, the Most High uttered His voice,Hailstones and coals of fire. He sent out His arrows and scattered the enemy......You will light my lamp; the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop, by my God I can leap over a wall. As for God , His way is perfect. He is a shield to all who trust in Him.....It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect.......You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great. You enlarged my path under me, So my feet did not slip...... The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want (anything else). He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul......though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.....the earth is the Lords and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. .... let all the earth fear the Lord Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded and it stood fast.....The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect....Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance...Behold the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, we have trusted in His holy name. Let Your mercy, O Lord be upon us, Just as we hope in You....this poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles...the angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him and delivers them. ....Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.....the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,.... The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. He is near those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a contrite spirit.... He redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who trust Him shall be condemned......Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty o holiness. The God of glory thunders; The Lord is over many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty....Blessed be the Lord... Oh love the Lord all you His saints! For the Lord preserves the faithful...Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord...
