Reading the Bible Chronologically: OT 128 2 Samuel 14 So Joab perceived that David missed Absalom who was in exile. He found a wise woman named Tekoa to come plead a fictitious case about her two sons and one who had killed the other. Her story continue that the survivor was now due to die and this would end her husbands line. She then ask why he doesnt do the same for Absalom. Then David realized this was a scheme of Joab. Still he restored Absalom. Absalom has a lot of hair and looked good. 2 Samuel 15 Afterwards Absalom started convincing people he would be better at providing justice and soon subverted Israel. He went to Hebron and started a rebellion. So David and his people were chased out of Jerusalem. The priest wanted to go with him, with the ark. David declined, saying if it were Gods will God would return him to the ark. David went up to the Mount of Olives and prayed foolishness on Absalom. Psalm 3 A Psalm of David when he fled Absalom- O Lord my adversaries have increased.. But you.. are a shield around me...the Lord sustains me...Salvation belongs to the Lord. 2 Samuel 16 Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth brought supplies to David. Later a man name Shimei of the house of Saul cursed David. Absalom entered into Jerusalem and took Davids ten concubines that he left behind. Key Verses: Notes: 15:16 see 2 Samuel 12:11
