Reading through the posts, I am reminded of something I read for Uni the other day. In this modern age, we are being told that we are to assume responsibility for ourselves in all things. Our choices determine our outcomes. Or so we are told. This is only part of the story. Social networks are not dead. Decisions made by others affect us. While I am all for making responsible, ethical, wise decisions, I am also painfully aware that I am a fallible human being and will make mistakes. I am also constrained, like everyone else, by the budget that I have to work with and the demands upon that budget. So please bear in mind that we now have to make many more choices, in shorter time frames, with less useful information than ever before. For those of us who prefer to contemplate before we rush in, this can cause stress. The information overload is enormous, and not everything that we see in the media is meant for our good. So take care of each other, make the choices you can with the best information you have available to you and be gentle with each other when mistakes get made. Also remember to pray for our leaders as instructed.
