Real Madrid have a dilemma with Aitor Karanka Aitor Karanka still - TopicsExpress

Real Madrid have a dilemma with Aitor Karanka Aitor Karanka still has three years left on his contract at Real Madrid but he will not be the number two as he has been for the past three season. He declined leaving and following now Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho to London because of family reasons and has left Real Madrid with a dilemma on what to do with the Basque coach. Eurosport has reported that the former defender’s contract pays out half a million euros net per year with no role for him on the first team and neither in Castilla, Real Madrid’s youth academy. What the Madridista’s seem to be waiting on is for Karanka to find a new gig for the upcoming season. The arrival of Carlo Ancellotti as the new manager of Los Blancos has placed Paul Clement and Madrid legend Zidane on the bench as his assistants. Rewinding to last summer when Mourinho signed a contract extension to 2016, the agreement also brought a raise in salaries to his coaching staff, Karanka included. According to Eurosport, Karanka expressed that Mourinho offered him a position at Chelsea but chose to stay in Madrid to offer more stability for his family. Rumors have done their rounds that Aitor will find another team to manage in either Spain and the United Arab Emirates, the latter peculiar after turning down Chelsea over location but self explanatory for the potential profits. In the Primera there seems to be no positions left for managers but he could easily find something suitable in the Segunda to build his managerial CV. The former Real Madrid defender is aware that his managerial voyage is in the beginning stages but positively commented “I hope to have a memorable moments as a manager just as I did as a player.” I.S.F ANDREW
