I know you cans hear this man speak, but could you read this update and listen for the emotion behind those words and lift him and his friends up as they are dealing with the impossible right now: Thats it. My resolve ran dry. I was updating my status, the signal was lost, everything is gone. This is a short version. We evacuated around 100 people from Gorlovka. Some of them were placed in our refugee centers. Thank you to Dima Nazareko. Our guys were not able to get the people out of Donetsk. By Kurahovo the militants bombed the Ukrainian checkpoint and blockade, one of the few escape routes is now inaccessible. Right now no one is allowed in or out, the experts and international observers are working there, there are victims. We are not able to rescue the population of Kreemskoye, the only road in and out is under constant fire. At this point we are attempting a dialogue with the military to see if they can evacuate on their own, or if they would allow us in: there are children, still there in the village. Kreemskoye is the farthest point on the frontline. Long time ago they lost everything: their power, gas, water. I was considering making a large red cross out of duct tape on top of the vehicle. The road to Peskee is also under frequent shelling, but at least it was somewhat protected by a tree line. Here, its just fields, basically, a glorified shooting range with easy targets. We are praying to be able to save these people, especially the children. Do good -- it is possible.
