Reality TV shows are only successful because theres either some complete asshole on the show, theres some contrived competitive element that you can get a vicarious win through without having to take any chances, or theres a combination of both. Most of them have either the hack premise of the public singing horrible songs that you wouldnt even listen to the original artist perform if it was on the radio or even worse, watching someone else at their shitty job or performing mediocre everyday tasks like cook food or do some carpentry.
