Really SCARY story here. Rabies exposure is no joke. So far in 2014 Montgomery and Pulaski Counties combined have had 6 confirmed positive Rabies cases. In 2013, 11 animals tested positive in those counties. In the state of VA, 488 animals tested positive in 2013. Rabies is a deadly disease which can affect humans, dogs, cats, horses, cows, bats.... Please be careful around wildlife-- AND make sure your pets are vaccinated.
