Really appreciate the efforts of AKCs staff including Mark Sjogren and Carrie Elks DeYoung, as well as the suggestions of Linda Mecklenburg and Daisy Peel in the last few days, developing and discussing the idea of an excellent c or beyond masters or masters choice program ... Over the past few years, we have loved having Mark come out from time to time to experiment, to test ideas/concepts ... Ive attached video from one of the demos ... with different sizes and types of dogs, various handlers, having a good time running this kind of course ... Please read through the discussion on Linda and Daisys pages ... and elsewhere ... The idea here would be to provide an option available at all AKC agility shows ... entrants would be able to choose ... enter masters just like they do today with courses just as they are today ... or enter a new class that would have challenges that have not been included the masters program has developed ... It shouldnt add any more than 20 minutes to a two ring show ... 40 minutes to a one ring show ... One set of quick tweaks and a walk for standard, one set of quick tweaks and a walk for jumpers ... My most recent post is an example of how quickly one can tweak a masters course in either direction ... to an advanced / open / intermediate level course ... or alternatively ... to something of a masters challenge or masters choice or beyond masters type of course ...
