Really !@#$%^& bad move Vic Labor ... Labors decision to give preferences to the Country Alliance ahead of the Greens in Northern Victoria could prove costly for the new government, as it means it will need the support of more than the Greens to pass any legislation the Coalition opposes. On last nights figures, the Coalition is likely to have 15 or 16 seats in the new chamber of 40, down from 21 in the old. Labor would have 13, the Greens 4 or 5, the Shooters 3, and three or four other parties would have one seat each. While the numbers are far from final, and small changes in votes could shift the results, the DLP appears likely to win the last seat in the Western Metropolitan area from the Liberals, Family First could end up with the final seat in Northern Metropolitan (also from the Liberals), with the Country Alliance taking the last seat in Northern Victoria...
