Really good to read it to the end and you will have lots to think about too!!! As It Was Given To Me ;;;;;;; I was told that in one of our conventions in Malaysia, four individuals were interviewed about their ministry. The speaker started with a sister who related that her son was disfellowshiped. She said the pain and sadness could have caused her to lose her zeal for the ministry but, instead, she went out all the more. One day she met a very timid boy who started to study and eventually got baptized. The speaker asked, how is he now? She answered hes doing good, here he is then handed the microphone to the brother standing next to her..... Our young brother said he always struggled with shyness. One day he went to work really sad. His boss asked what was wrong with him and why was he so sad. Our young brother told him the reason that he felt bad was that he couldnt share Gods word to people because he was too shy to do so. The boss said why dont you practice with me? So every day, he did! Eventually he overcame his shyness and his boss, in turn, got baptized! The speaker said, how is he now? He said Hes doing good, here he is and handed the microphone to the brother next to him. The brothers boss said he loved preaching to everyone - rich and poor. So one day in service, when he met a homeless man, he started witnessing to him. He learned that he used to be a witness and that he was well off before, but then squandered his money, got lost along the way and became homeless. So he started to study again, and shortly thereafter this homeless man got reinstated. The speaker said, how is he now? He then answered, Hes doing good, hes no longer homeless, here he is and handed the microphone to the brother next to him. The speaker said, Oh, so hows it going with you and your ministry? He answered and said that hes very happy going in service with his family now that hes reinstated, especially his mother who was devastated when he left. So the speaker said, Is your mother here in this convention? He said yes, she is And the speaker asked, Where is she? in answer he pointed to the first sister that was interviewed! When I first heard of the story, I was truly touched! Its true that nothing can describe the pain when a loved one leaves Jehovahs organization but had this sister allowed the sadness to overwhelm her heart when her son got disfellowshippeded, then she could have missed out the chance of saving 3 souls, including the reason for her pain, her dear son. She stayed absorbed in spiritual activities and kept herself busy in Jehovahs service. In doing so, she became strong spiritually and got her son back in the process. This sister proved that nothing can distance her from Jehovah and she was blessed because of her faithfulness. What a fine example!.. Goodmorning friends
