Really happy yesterday to secure two $20,000 funding boosts for Narre South Cricket Club and the Berwick Regional Churches Soccer Club, under a re-elected Napthine Government. The Narre South Cricket Club came to me to replace their cricket nets which are in urgent need of repair. The club identified the need for new cricket nets after balls were flying outside of the reserve boundaries into nearby. Not only is this a major inconvenience for the club and players, but may cause damage to nearby properties and passing vehicles. The Berwick Regional Churches Soccer Club has a long and proud history in the wider Casey community. The club identified the need for two sets of under 9/10 goals, curtains and blinds for the club room, a projector, screen and further electrical works. I was contacted by the club to visit the facilities at the Grices Road Reserve and talk about potential ways to make the club more efficient and raise more funds.
