Really, really does take the efforts and time of so many to organize a terrific community event like Aurora Colony Days. Gosh, Jan Peel, Shari Lund Doubrava, Diana Ash, Kathleen Mason, Gina Nash, Heather Stauffer Kirk, Bill Graup, Deputy Pete were a wonderful, dedicated group that worked MONTHS to put together ACD. And let me just take a moment to thank those special neighbors that I was honored to work with to bring you our annual parade: Jackie Ensign Snodderly - for pushing entries, traveling far and wide for entry safari - you are a fabulous ambassador for ACD & the town. Holly & Aaron Ensign - for herding and queueing all the entries together and keeping your cool and great smiles - Masters of Ceremonies, you are! Diana Ash - for ALL of it - parade, run, concert, food cart help - you are volunteer glue with a great sense of humor (critical asset!). Sally Sperb, Spud Sperb, Mary van Kleef - smiles for miles, good humor and keen strategy at check in - when you say youve got it, we all can rest easy & enjoy. Tara Weidman - for jumping in where and whenever needed - youve got kindness magic. Jayna Leah & sons - for representing the youth volunteer spirit we need! Mary Berge Harris + kids + Living Color Landscape & Nursery for your help with floating our musical entertainment. Generous and kind you are. Lori Sahlin - for your parade organization mentorship + horse whispering during parade staging - a volunteer Sensi. Jason Sahlin, Austin McArthur, Cherie Rainwater, Rob Rainwater, Tara & Carl Mcknight - for shinning the light on special entries and handing out prizes. Dana Sahlin - for your parade lead up help & unrelenting enthusiasm that all would come together. Steve Heer - b/c behind every good coordinator is a partner who keeps her propped up and fed and has a boss-o-keen set of wheels in the parade. And thanks to NM Key Club volunteers as barricade ambassadors & City staff for their support too! Please share your thanks when you see these folks next around the neighborhood... which might not be today as they are all likely taking it easy (I hope!) :: Deep appreciation from me and my family & friends that delighted in your contributions to make the day so much fun.::
