Reason Why The Rock vs Shawn Michaels Never Happened: WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels spoke to Jim Ross on a recent installment of The Ross Report about how The Rock was not interested in working a program with him when he returned to the ring back in 2002. I can remember many, many years ago, as I came back. Pat Patterson asked about that and I said, Sure, whoever you want. But he [The Rock] wasnt interested, and that was it. But I liked anybody that I hadnt been in the ring with. My Thoughts: It really sucks that this match never happened I mean these two men were well in their prime at the time and the fact that He wasnt interested in working with Shawn saddens me I mean come on it wouldve been a dream come true to see my two favorite wrestlers of all time go at it one on one in the ring. It couldve been a classic and a match to be talked about for years to come but now after reading this we might as well accept the fact that this will forever be One of The Greatest Matches to Never Happen.
