Reason why Christians could not accept Universal Salvation is that, they suppose the doctrine is saying that all people are saved NOW and peoples of the past, including those who perished in the Deluge, are also NOW saved. The last three words of First Timothy 2: 4-6, in due time in KJV, makes it clear, as rendered from the Greek by another translator: Who [God] will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified IN DUE TIME [IN HIS OWN STRATEGIC TIME PERIODS]. Comparatively very, very few have been saved and are being saved in this present age. The vast masses of mankind are yet to be saved in future AGES. Isnt this good news? Or the assumption that most will spend eternity in hell is the gospel, or part of the gospel?
