Rebecca Burden Mackey update: Mom got good news today from her follow up CT scan: her chemo is continuing to be effective. Praise the Lord! In the almost five months since her initial stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis, she has bravely weathered two surgeries, several hospitalizations including a 3-day ICU stay, and weeks of chemo and side effects. She is amazingly resilient and has recently resumed teaching her Tuesday morning Bible study and her Sunday morning class at Broadway Baptist; however, she still wont mow my lawn. ;) Mom continues to have IV and oral chemo in her ongoing cancer battle. We greatly appreciate your prayers for effective chemo with minimal side effects and for endurance, physical strength, and a positive mindset. To God be the glory!
