Rebel Band, The past few months have been one of the best experiences of my life. Words cannot express how fortunate I am to have had the opportunity to spend time with, teach, and learn from all of you. I take with me fond memories of hot rehearsals with the sun sizzling overhead, crazy yelling directors, fun Friday night games, coming up with awesome new horn flashes, “pinkies up” in the water cadence, long late night bus rides back to the high school, millions of questions, hilarious meme after hilarious meme, digging into new concert literature, stressing before a performance and then getting goose bumps when you nail it, your inspiration performance at Showcase, getting mobbed after the Sounds of the Gridiron, morning coffee with my colleagues, mentors, and friends, break-through private lessons, rockin’ saxophone choirs, and one-on-one conversations about the future. I wouldnt trade a single one of those experiences for anything. Wherever I go and whatever I do, know you have made a lasting mark on me for the better. So, never stop learning, never stop striving to be better, and always keep an open mind and an open heart. Keep practicing! Your future is bright! I hope I taught you as much as you taught me.
