Received a letter from the DOT about the family farm and their acquisition of part of it. I hope everyone realizes you do not own your property.... the Government owns it. You only work your whole life to pay for the ability to live on it. The Dot has sent a letter to me informing me in the first statement I have The right to receive just compensation for the TAKING OF PROPERTY. This is there very words... Taking of our hard worked 4 generation property.... I hope everyone realizes we have NO OPTION. They take the land. They will pay you what they feel it is worth and you have NO choice or voice in the matter. My Grandfather and Grandmother, Bonnie, myself, and now Matt do not matter! Only a highway.......
