Dear Mumbaiya Gal//Jyoti, In the meeting on HIV/AIDS Bill held on 20th June 2013, the future advocacy strategies to be adopted by us to push the government to table the Bill in Parliament in the upcoming monsoon session were discussed. The Advocacy strategies decided by the group present include the Fax and post card campaign, Rally to be organized on 6th July 2013 and media campaign. A core group has been formed which has taken the responsibilty for co-ordinating the efforts for the advocacy strategies decided. It was decided that all the organization will send as many letters and post cards to the Prime Minister and Heath Minister in the week starting from 24th June 2013 till 29th June 2013. Please find attached the letters for the fax campaign and the other details for fax and post card campaign are given below. Fax Campaign: Organizations have to fax the respective letters to the Prime Minister, Health Minister and the Law Minister. Postcard Campaign: We have to send post cards to the Health Minister and the Prime Minister ***************************************************** For the Health Minister Honourable Minister, HIV/AIDS Bill has been pending with the government since 2006. Constant delay in bringing the Bill to the Parliament is a cause of great concern for us. We demand that the government should table the HIV/AIDS Bill in Parliament in the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament. **************************************************** For the Prime Minister Honourable Prime Minister, HIV/AIDS Bill has been pending with the government since 2006. Constant delay in bringing the Bill to the Parliament is a cause of great concern for us. We demand that the government should table the HIV/AIDS Bill in Parliament in the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament.
