Received some unsettling news when I came into work this evening. A young man, co-worker and very good person, was involved this morning in a serious motor vehicle accident. He suffered serious head injury and was air flighted to UMASS General in Worcester I believe. We have not been allowed any updates beyond the fact that he is under serious & guarded conditional monitor. A nice young man, Chris is 21 years old. He and his girlfriend just celebrated the birth of a new born son (Michael) not three weeks ago. I have enjoyed working with and training Chris. We have a lot in common, he loves Madden and PLAYSTATION and gaming. He and I recently discovered a common passion for high tech stuff and computer tech talk. He told me how he "jail breaks" iPhones and completes that with apps. How he upgraded his laptop and all sorts of neat things of that nature. Chris is new to our Campus Safety staff here, has been with us around four months now. He and his girlfriend met while he was living in NYC His old job was as a security guard.....at Yankee Stadium. Obviously we have had generous conversations about that . All in all I am asking Facebook friends to keep Chris in their prayers...... My thoughts & prayers as well are with Chris and his family. Thanks.
