Received the following email from one of the contributors to the Answering Islam website. He asked this be passed along. Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, It is painfully clear that the war in Gaza/Israel is polarizing the world. Many Muslims are inflamed with anger against Israel and Jews worldwide are feeling the brunt of growing anti-semitism - not only from Muslims but others too. This polarization is also evident in the media, causing people on both sides to distrust opposing reports as biased. Many Muslims are sceptical of reports appearing to endorse Israels claims that Hamas embeds their fighters and rockets near or among civilians as a shielding tactic. Gradually, however, the truth is coming to light. For example, Israeli soldiers recently found a Hamas manual advising Palestinians on the benefits of using human shields. Also, King Abdallah of Saudi Arabia has publicly accused Hamas of causing a collective massacre. At the end of the day, true God-fearing people grieve over the tragic loss of life on both sides... Is Israel without blame? Certainly not. Can we ever get to the root of the problem? Considering all the accusations and counter- accusations, many people doubt whether there is anyone who can judge fairly. Is there any real hope of a peaceful solution? The world is desperately seeking answers to these questions. So I have written a one page article, “Any hope of peace? which points to the answer: Jesus, the Prince of Peace. See answering-islam.org/authors/clarke/peace_hope.html My prayer is that it will help Christians share a reason for our hope. (1 Peter 3:15) Will you help by making copies and passing it on. Will you engage your church, home cell, etc. in helping spread the Good News of peace? “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news who proclaim peace … good tidings … salvation.” (Isaiah 52:7,8)
