Received the phone call earlier from my Thyroid Dr at Vanderbilt.. My Thyroid levels were better then last time but still high, So we agreed and he feels its best we move Foward and have Radioactive Iodine done to completely kill off my Thyroids. The great news is Ill soon be coming off my Blood Pressure medicine. The reason for my High Blood Pressure is due to my Thyroids. But he said Ill still have to take my Blood Pressure medicine for the time being and later on after everything I get to come off my Blood Pressure Medicine... :D His assistant will call me soon to schedule an Appointment (Which will be anywhere between 4 to 6 wks when she calls) to get everything set up, First their going to do a small test doze of Radioactive Iodine ( Which is a Capsule they give to you ) and the next day I will go back and theyll put a camera up to my neck to see how well the Iodine is absorbing in my Thyroid glands, And if its working the way it should, Theyll give me the full doze of Iodine I need which will completely kill off my Thyroids. He said Ill have to be off my Thyroid medicine 4 days before having this done, and then after its all done and over with, Ill follow up with Blood Work to check my levels and then later on come off my Blood Pressure medicine! He said Ill be good as new and back to my Normal self when all this is said and done, Itll be like I never had a thyroid problem to begin with... :D Finally things are looking on the Bright Side. After all these years of having Thyroid issues, Theyll finally be coming to a stop
