Recently, Fr. Karl Daigle announced that effective July 1, 2014 he was to become the new Pastor of Christ the King in Bossier City and that Fr. Thomas Elavunkal, CMI, who has been at St. Joseph almost 4 years, will be leaving St. Joseph to become the pastor at St. John the Baptist Parish, Many, LA and St. Terence Church, Toledo Bend. Blake Bruchhaus, Director of Liturgy and Music, has been accepted to Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana to continue his liturgical and musical studies. A farewell reception will be held in the St. Joseph Activity Center (SJAC) for Fr. Karl, Fr. Thomas and Blake on Sunday, June 29th following the noon Mass. Everyone is invited. Please join us as we welcome Father Mark Franklin, who has been assigned pastor of St. Joseph and Father Michael Thangwa, FMH, who has been assigned Parochial Vicar. Fr. Mark is coming from St. Pauls in Minden, LA and Fr. Michael Thangwa from St. Mary of the Pines both will begin the service of our parish family on July 1.
