Recently, I had my second visit to Crabs Claw in Atlantic Beach, NC. The first visit was for lunch, at which time I ordered a delicious salad. We enjoyed a beautiful view of the beach and ocean, which was great since it was January.In early August, my sister and I went for supper. We again had a great view, choosing to eat inside because of impending rain. Our server, Nancy, was very accommodating, friendly, and encouraged us to try one of the Caribbean dishes. Thank goodness she did! I would encourage anyone to order the Sunshine Salmon, or Mahi, which was so flavorful with honey butter sauteed plantains, yellow rice, peas, and Sunshine Sauce. My sister also raved about her Caribbean Grouper with shrimp dish. Cant wait to go back to try something else (or the same)! At the end of our meal, we went downstairs to compliment the chef.The restaurant space itself could use some spiffing up and the wine selections need improvement. Also, getting to the entrance is a bit confusing, and once inside its not easy to know where to head. However, it was worth venturing forth for an excellent meal!
