Recently, Politico reported that Karl Rove held a “secret donor call” on which the surprise celebrity guest was none other than my opponent, Thom Tillis. Tillis admitted that advertising from Rove’s Crossroads group was invaluable in his primary victory. Rove’s put his bet down -- he’s got $5.2 million on Thom Tillis for the win. Well, my opponent may be Karl Rove’s “prize horse,” but North Carolina isn’t the Kentucky Derby. If Rove wins in North Carolina, families lose. And we can’t let that happen.
