To further expound Van Gundys point, youth players whose team that press throughout the game aka kill the man with the ball will suffer as they move to the next level where BALL-YOU-MAN principles are taught and expected. Whereas on the offensive end teams that press all day usually struggle in the half court environment primarily due the lack of ability fundamental SKILLS (i.e passing, pivoting, shooting, and IQ). This is evident as players from across the water who are taught fundamentals as a youth seem to excel in the United States largely due to their ability to MASTER the fundamentals. We, at Team FOOTPRINTZ, a full service basketball training company, that focuses on fundamental development via our unique layered fashion. (i.e. stationary passing becomes passing on the move) which is geared to increasing a players skill set.
