Recently heard about a US company importing workers from India using fake visas and false pretenses that these smuggled workers had skills that American workers didnt, and all in the name of greed. This is a multi-billion dollar company that is in the information technology sector, but they did this for years and years, all to avoid paying American workers a LIVING wage, by the way this is what creates poverty, not bad choices made by workers. One of their employees finally exposed them. As usual this company chalks it up to the cost of doing business, as conservatives always do, its the freein free market. Yet the poor are scorned for trying to survive any way they can...I smell contradiction. Cost is the operative word here, and I guess it costs something to maintain human life, so if it means feeding a human being, then yeah its gonna cost somebody. But maybe if we had a living wage in this America we think is so great, then the poor could make enough money to feed themselves.
