Recently in a TV show I saw where some people were shown that someone sought to give them a harmful substance under the guise of helping them. They were administered proof and were shown how it would negatively impact them. They immediately broke out in outrage. However, the moment the person supplying this proof left them and the person seeking to administer the substance continued with his presentation, saying that it was actually good despite what they knew, they went along with him. An onlooker stated quite frankly that some people want to be led, they are mentally lazy and afraid of facing the world on their own. People are constantly looking for crutches to make themselves cripples even when there are none. This statement also goes to prove that until people or society as a whole desires truth, desires awakening, then no matter what is done or said or even shown to the masses, they in their fear will dismiss it. This is why religion is so successful in the world, not because people have so much love for God, but because they need to feel like there is a supreme power looking after them and that their actions are ordained in some manner. This allows many figures to lift blame from themselves and live life with a clear conscience. Even going so far as to use this as justification for heinous acts and then seeking to absolve themselves by this higher power. If we dont step and take control of ours futures, of our actions and engage in collective responsibility, then no change can happen. Change has to begin with the individual. Ask and you shall receive, knock and you will be answered
