Recently members of the RC of Saco Bay along with Dave Walsh of the RC of Portland Sunrise organized and processed about 1000 mobility devices including crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs, baby joggers and foot boots at the storage facility in Saco Maine. 3 full 40 foot shipping containers along with another partial container have already been shipped to Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya. Items that are considered medical waste in this country change peoples lives in Africa. There are a number of collection sites in the Saco Biddeford and Old Orchard Beach area in other surrounding towns. Please consider donating any mobility devices that you no longer need.
