But they do not solve any problems..as it were...(or is) The the world is sinking into a new age of barbarism. The world wars of the past are now taught in history books and few of those that fought in those wars remain among the living. Of course we as humans could misguidedly say those type of conflicts are a thing of the past... But as long as the individual retains within their heart the will for asserting their will upon others; the specter of enlarged conflict remains. Love is always the answer... The problem arises in the manner in which humans define the word. The Bible says, He who loveth not, knoweth not God, for God is love. I do not hear this thought expressed in most religions around the world. Though I find few who would dispute the thought and fewer still will apply themselves to understand the implications of its true meaning. And fewer yet will apply the concept to their own lives individually. This world should not be as it is. There is the potential for far greater things for all. The hindrance to this resides within each and every individual upon the face of the earth. The greatest enemy you will ever meet resides in the last place you would ever look... But if you look there and discover that enemy, you will also know what is in the heart of every man and woman that breathes the breath of life. Chance and circumstance happen to us all without exception. The manner in which we meet these two things reveals that which resides within. This may be a surprise (depending upon the situation) not only to others, but...to ourselves as well. All too easily we condemn other religions, races, classes, cultures, societies, and ideas... And most obviously there are some categories which seem to preclude any good arising from them. But..to condemn a larger class due to participation disregards the beauty and responsibility of the individual and condemns in broader terms something that should be limited in scope to the idea itself. For example, Hitler was white...all white people are bad. Genghis Khan was Asian...all Asians are bad. Montezuma was Indian, and allowed human sacrifices...all Indians are bad... The classification of people in generalities exhibits a great degree of not only blindness to an issue, but reveals the character of the individual as well.... Just like trials. Where is your greatest enemy ? In the last place you would ever look. Thats why mankind`s problems keep repeating themselves. WE HAVE MADE PEACE WITH THAT ENEMY..INDIVIDUALLY..AND HE FINDS THAT FALSE SENSE OF RECONCILIATION IN HARMONY WITH HIS PLANS. And it all continues....century after century...millennium after millennium... And its always someone else`s fault.... Or some race, or color, or culture, or society, or religion... But in so doing one must be reminded that these things reveal as much about yourself, as they reveal about the issue... Thanks John Mccabe Mccabe...you`ve been a friend and Brother since youth...and your words inspire thoughts of peace....and love...
